3 and 5 year old check ups

I remember vividly an experience in my youth that scarred me for life.  To begin, when I was younger, I was sort of drama.  I thought that anything that happened to me meant that I was going to die.  I would scream this phrase over and over again when I would seriously hurt myself, which I did frequently.  By the time I was ten I had broken my femur bone, cracked my head open (which required 9 stitches and left one beautiful bald spot), and stepped on a nail that went all the way through my foot.  So, in these situations, I really thought that I might die.

Well, the worst possible experience was when  my lovely and cheap father traded out some dental work for rafting trip with a little shop of horrors dentist.  This guy could NOT have graduated from a normal dental school.  Here is the low down... when I was younger, I fell against the side of the tub causing my front tooth to "die" and turn brown.  So, this horrible dentist, chipped out my tooth and into my gums WITH NO DRUGS OR NOVACAIN.  NOTHING!  Oh, and my mom was LOCKED, YES LOCKED out of the room while I was screaming "I AM GOING TO DIE!!!".  I felt that this time was justified for my screaming.

Anyhow, back to my original point.  My kids had their check ups today and here are the stats:
Berlin- 75% in height and 75% in weight.  3 foot 9 inches tall and 46 pounds
Jamison- 50% in height and 25% in weight.  28.9 pounds.  I just want to hit the 30 mark!

Both kids are healthy and the doctor kept commenting on how muscly Berlin was.  I guess she takes after Keith.  Anyhow, they both needed shots, which I had tried to prepare them for.  I told Berlin she was getting one and Jamison was getting 3.  Well, Berlin was actually getting 3 and Jamison one.  Berlin does NOT roll with the punches on this sort of thing and started freaking out.  Like, mad and crazy kid freaking out.  I had never seen anything like it, until I thought about my retched dentist experience.  But, come on, this was sooo much better.  All I can say, is Berlin must be following in the drama footsteps of her mom.

I totally remember being in the waiting room looking at the fish tank and being a little bit embarrassed that I could hear my little sister screaming from the dentist chair. But, I have to agree the screaming was justified.

Ok, just how mad and crazy kid freaking out was she?? Did you have to hold her down? And, how did Jamison take this? Sorry she was so upset!

Poor you! That sounds totally traumatizing. I wish we could compare Lauren and Berlin freaking out, because Lauren was HORRIBLE for her 5 year old shots! She was so anxious, she was trying to crawl under a little teeny kid chair. I pretty much had to hold her down. Seriously.

Maili and Berlin are almost the same exact size! And I went through the same exact thing with her shots...they had to have the receptionist hold Reef so that we could have like 3 of us pin down Maili - talk about drama.
You better come and visit soon!
