Snow day and Halloween party

I despise carving pumpkins, but the kids could not wait for daddy to come home

Big mustard stain on Berlin's dress from a previous Halloween party.  Nice.

Yesterday school was cancelled because of the snow.  Wednesday it was snowing pretty bad all day, but yesterday was totally fine.  I was kind of sad for poor Jamie because he missed his halloween party at school.  However, we had the Crispin Halloween party later on that day so he got over it.  I took the kids sledding and we carved pumpkins in the day and then we went to the party that night.  It was a super fun day!

Testing my patience round two

Once again, Steve has been out of town for 3 weeks (minus my 3 days in AZ).  And, although it was restful, I swear when you get thrown back into single life with kids, it is as if you had no break.  So, yesterday it was snowing really hard and it was really windy.  So, I told the kids to look outside at the "Blizzard".

Jamison: " I want to see the "Lizard"
Me: "No, Jamie, Blizzard!  That is when it really snowing and windy outside and you can't see anything."
Jamison:  "I want to see the Lizard!!!"
Me: Jamie- "B-LIZZARD.  It is not a Lizard."
Jamison:  "But, I can't see the Lizard!"

I give up!!

Berlin's first kiss

Yesterday, we had some friends come over and play-  my friend Christine and her son Jake (who is in Berlin's preschool) and her daughter Sierra (who is in Jamie's preschool).  Well, later on that day, I get a text from Christine telling me that Berlin gave Jake his first kiss!  WHAT??  My heart started pounding and I was dying to know when, where, etc.  They weren't ever really by themselves.  So, I ask...
Me:  "Berlin, did you kiss Jake?"
Berlin: "Yes" -( like no big deal)
Me: "Well, where did you kiss him?  The cheek?"
Berlin: "I don't remember!" (even more bugged)

So, here I am stirring over, do I pry or just drop it.  I decided to drop it.  If Berlin knows something is a BIG deal, she may act further on it!

I distinctly remember getting a love letter from a boy, Ryan Hadley, in my Kindergarten class.  I was soo annoyed when I took it home and opened it up.  Sooo bugged!!  The next day he tried to give me another one, and I refused!!!  Wouldn't talk to him the rest of the year.  And, yet, Berlin is the instigator.  I hope this is not a sign of things to come...

Scottsdale Photos

Trying to not look pregnant with the help of a scarf to distract

Had to hit sprinkles cupcakes fist thing!  Soo good:)

Just got back from Scottsdale and am already missing my beautiful friends.  We had an amazing time shopping, eating, and getting massages!  There is nothing better than to have NO plans and to be able to do whatever you want at the drop of a hat.  We literally were at the mall one day from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  shopping nonstop.  It was amazing!  Every year I go on this wonderful girls trip, I realize how blessed I am to have such amazing best friends.  It is so easy and casual when we get together.  Some of us were missing this year, and their presence was dearly missed.  Can't wait to see where we end up next year!!

Two down

Jamison and I were officially vaccinated for the swine flu yesterday thanks to my awesome friend, Amber.  She seemed to make a plug for me and they snuck me in!  So, if something freaky happens to me, I will let you all know so you can be spared if you haven't gotten the shot yet.  So far so good!

Soo cute!

Steve has been in New York for a week now and still has 3 left to go.  A little less exciting as his previous trips.  No Beyonce, Jay Z, Playboy models, etc.  But still a trip away from us.  This is the first time that Jamison has really realized that daddy is gone for awhile.  Every morning he wakes up and comes and gets me in bed, he asks where daddy is.  So, tonight as I check my emails I saw this photo sent to me.  You know you have a creative husband with this picture. He was given alphabet cookies and figured he would put them to good use.  We love you, Peach!
